Nocona Girls Youth Belt 1-1/4″ Embossed Cross Brown
We designed this youth belt with the same attention to detail that goes into every Nocona piece—genuine leather construction, timeless cross embossing, and hardware built to last through years of wear. The 1-1/4 inch width strikes the perfect balance for young riders: substantial enough to hold its shape through daily use, slim enough to thread comfortably through jean loops.
The rich brown finish develops character over time, and the embossed cross pattern adds western heritage without feeling overly ornate. We’ve sized the belt specifically for youth proportions, so it fits correctly from the first wear rather than requiring awkward punch adjustments.

What the numbers mean
We start every youth belt with the same full-grain leather we use across our entire line—no shortcuts just because it’s sized for kids. The hide is cut, stamped, and finished by hand in our Texas facility.
The embossed cross pattern is pressed into the leather under heat, creating permanent detailing that won’t fade or peel. We finish the edges with hand-applied dye and burnish them smooth to prevent the rough fraying that happens with machine-cut belts. The brown tone comes from aniline dye that penetrates the entire thickness of the leather, so scuffs and scratches blend into the patina rather than exposing a different color underneath.
Measure your child’s waist where they naturally wear their jeans—not their clothing size, which often runs larger. Add two inches to that measurement to find the correct belt size.
This nocona girls youth belt 1/4 embossed cross brown is punched with holes spaced one inch apart, covering waist sizes 18 through 28 inches. The belt should fasten at the middle hole when you first receive it, leaving room to adjust as your child grows.
Wipe the belt with a damp cloth after riding or heavy wear to remove dust and sweat. Let it air-dry completely before storing—never near a heater or in direct sun, which can crack the leather.
Condition the belt every two to three months with a leather balm or cream. Apply a thin layer, let it soak in for ten minutes, then buff away any excess with a soft cloth. The embossed cross detailing will darken slightly as it absorbs conditioner, which enhances the contrast.

Western heritage in youth gear
The embossed cross motif traces back to early cowboy culture, when tooled leather served both decorative and practical purposes. The raised pattern helped grip the buckle and prevented the belt from slipping under tension. The heavier the tool work, the more durable the finished piece.
We carry that tradition forward in our youth collection because kids deserve gear that reflects genuine craftsmanship, not costume accessories. The same hand-finishing techniques that define our kids belts also apply to the adult pieces worn by working ranchers and rodeo competitors.

Questions about the embossed cross youth belt
The belt is punched to fit waist measurements from 18 to 28 inches. Measure your child’s natural waist where they wear their jeans, then add two inches to determine the correct belt size. The belt should fasten at the center hole when new, leaving adjustment room on either side.
This is genuine full-grain leather construction throughout—no bonded leather or synthetic materials. The hide is tanned, cut, and finished in our Texas facility using the same processes we apply to adult belts. Full-grain leather develops a natural patina over time rather than deteriorating.
The belt works with any standard 1-1/4 inch western buckle. If you have a trophy buckle or custom piece, verify the buckle slot measures 1-1/4 inches before pairing it with this belt. Buckles sized at 1-1/2 inches are too wide for this strap.
Wipe the belt with a slightly damp cloth after wear to remove dirt and sweat. Let it air-dry away from heat sources. Condition the leather every two to three months with leather cream or balm—apply a thin coat, let it soak in, then buff away excess. Avoid submerging the belt in water or using silicone sprays.
The cross pattern is heat-stamped into the leather under pressure, creating permanent detailing that won’t peel or fade. As the belt ages and develops patina, the embossed areas may darken slightly when you apply conditioner, which actually enhances the contrast and makes the pattern more visible.
This belt is sold as a strap only and does not include a buckle. The removable snap design allows you to pair it with any 1-1/4 inch western buckle you already own or purchase separately. The belt includes a keeper loop and metal tip pre-installed.
With proper care, the full-grain leather construction should last several years of regular wear. The leather becomes more supple and comfortable over time rather than breaking down. Hardware components are tested to withstand thousands of buckling cycles, so mechanical failure is unlikely under normal use.
